Description: The oil spill has shut down over a dozen beaches and killed at least 60 birds. Ecologists warn that it could take months to clean up and that it threatens the Bay's diverse ecosystem, including several endangered species. We speak to Sejal Choksi, Program Director at San Francisco Baykeeper. |

norcalvinh ::: Favorites 2007-11-15 01:05:35 This is so sad. I live in the bay area and to see this happen here is almost surreal. I can't believe the wrecklessness of the captain of this cargo vessel. It will take many months before it will even get cleaned up, not to mention how long it will remain in the environment, affecting the marine ecosystem here in the bay area. __________________________________________________ |
