geo1uk2004 ::: Favorites Things would be the same.Don't forgot that Napalm death isn't just a crap band,but also a Kennedy policy.The assasnination of King possibly even helped his cause,'cause no American administration was going to. As for 2027, he should be asking what if we weren't so apapthetic? What if we the world wasn't content to grumble & accept that things were how they were & there was nothing we could do about it? 07-05-05 00:25:31 _____________________________________________________
geo1uk2004 ::: Favorites Sorry for the typos. I type too fast. Difficult to make what you hope will be an intelligent point whehn you write things like "assasnination":-). Oh well. 07-05-05 00:28:36 _____________________________________________________
davisfleetwood ::: Favorites i agree it is easy to mythologize JFK. see my vid response to John Edwards, where I go into JFK a bit more. I don't know if things would be the sam though. THINK: some force (organized or no) killed JFK, Bobby Kennedy, MAlcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. If that force DID NOT exist (whatever/ whomever that force is), what would our world look like? 07-05-05 00:39:25 _____________________________________________________
davisfleetwood ::: Favorites the john edwards response is "what are you going to do to bring about change?" 07-05-05 00:42:34 _____________________________________________________
geo1uk2004 ::: Favorites I see what you mean.Well,in the realms of the ideal, we certainly wouldn't be in Iraq right now. In reality however, I can't help feeling that without such a force, another, similar force would exist. That's how the powers that be work, from the Medievil church to the present day,whether to protect us or harm us. 07-05-05 00:50:19 _____________________________________________________
geo1uk2004 ::: Favorites Thanks, will check it out now. 07-05-05 00:51:21 _____________________________________________________
geo1uk2004 ::: Favorites Just watched the Edwards video & I guess it links to this. For Kennedy, see Clinton, bush etc. At the end of the day, your country & mine (the U.K) talk a lot about freedom & liberty, but it's sually at the expense of the freedoms & liberties of others. Hence the things that Kennedy did, the things that Bush & Blair are doing & that these "forces" did & continue to do. No question, the world would be better without them. 07-05-05 01:06:20 _____________________________________________________
Tressco ::: Favorites Like that one! Question's definitely 'bout 9/11! I mean, what if they would have come earlier and Grampa Hickledoo could have fulfilled his promise to finally end Bush's pathetic, miserable governance with his sawn off nazi-12-gauge, he took as souvenir from WWII! Well, you know: 9-11 is a joke, isn't it...?! 07-05-06 22:03:26 _____________________________________________________
johnlepo ::: Favorites For a start you would not have had war in Vietnam, you would have had detente with the Soviet Union and better relations with Cuba. These three defining points of foreign policy would have freed up U.S. money for the poor and debt relief for foreign nations. Malcolm X had gone to Mecca and was beginning to work with King. RFK could have put everyting right, but he was also murdered. 07-05-07 11:14:51 _____________________________________________________
Nominay ::: Favorites John F. Kennedy, 1961-1969. Lyndon B. Johnson, 1969-1973. Robert F. Kennedy, 1973-1981. Martin L. King Jr, 1981-1989. George S. McGovern, 1989-1997. William J. Clinton, 1997-2005. Not sure who would be President today, but it wouldn't be a Republican. 07-05-31 07:10:49 _____________________________________________________ |
