darklord 1985, i agree with you, line crossed, now victim AND perpetrator : perpetrator "A" victim, not "THE" victim, maybe even rescuer too:-line crossed, now two victims, have sympathy if u want to understand, and if u want to help/prevent u must understand.. have revulsion too if u disagree with it,it disgusts me too, but i understand that only a damaged person would be sexually attracted to a

this wrong right thing is the part of the problem, there is no point in saying that, child sexual abuse happens, it is a fact. pornography is the theory rape is the practice, by this thinking u protect, collude with and facilitate paedophiles, now u go and read a book!this paris hilton photo makes me think of the starving in somalia

blah blah blah u go on its not the quality which is "crap" its the content...ian says, forget the right and wrong thing, black white, good bad..this is dichotomous thinking, paedophiles are victims, who else could talk themselves into sticking it to a child..u spent alot of time slagging ian off, and accused him of what u do, my way or the highway, he is wrong and u r right! it is u who is sheltered....

madeleinemusic, did you just say that paedophiles are the victims?! In your twisted mind someone like Josef Mengele would be considered a victim. Does that mean that society is supposed to treat him as such?! It dosen't matter what your reason is for raping a child, once you cross that line YOU STOP being the victim!! GOD, I can't even argue with people like you! madeleinemusic you do NOT have an excuse for writting such RUBBISH!

I agree with everything you've said about Mr. Crossland, but I think you said everything you needed to say in the first video response you made. As a matter of fact I think you said it very well and very succinctly in that video. If we focus too much attention on Ian it just tends to focus other peoples attention on him. And lets not do that. Thanks Hugh

Okay, I really did not like your response videos for the Non-You Tube stars, but your regular videos are great. They really are.

I wouldn't have said it quite so bluntly but you are so close to the real truth here that I have to agree with you, esp the maybe just acting part. And his face does allow him to get away with so much more, even though I personally believe that Ian does have some good points.

Thats an interesting point. After rewatching Ian and Hughs videos and my own response, I realise that I am between the two on this subject. The real question now seems to have become, 'forgiveness or punishment'. The court system should be there to decide whether we should do one or the other, not simply whether we should punish.

I agree. People tend to forget these days that it is possible to forgive, and their first reaction is to skip over deciding whether to forgive and go straight to deciding a punishment.

Watching this video, he isn't really making any points here. Hugh's just repeating what "common sense" (i.e. "primal sense" actually) already tells us. I think Ian already understands this. He has this... "common sense." There is no such thing as "thinking too much", people. Or "over-analyzing". That is a myth. That is a lie. You shouldn't call someone stupid for asking questions within himself. That's even more "stupid". Especially coming from someone who is in the sciences (i.e. archaeology).

crossmack (2 days ago) "The shame is what perpetuates the action." How can you have shame over an action that has not occurred yet?

Actually that was one of his points I agreed with. Like a child doing something wrong just because they know it's wrong, it makes them want to do it. If you explore why children do things you learn a lot about our basic instincts, like the aggresion that Hugh spoke of.
