Apparently, Tolkien visited some like very old village in some far away place where he just copied down the story as it was told to him. This teachers a nutjob but his stories are interesting, also, little known fact, Bilbo taking the cup is a reference to Beowulf, in Beowulf a slave takes a goblet just as Bilbo does which sets off the dragons rage in both stories __________________________________________________ | |
