Description:

I've hunted mushrooms as a hobbie for the past few years. This is what I discovered in a small field by a beach in rural Nova Scotia in late Summer. September 17, 2007. Now I'm waiting a few more weeks for the shaggy mane.(aka inky cap)coprinus comatus. Foraging for wild edible mushrooms in their natural habitat is a great hobby with great rewards. Can also be very dangerous. My theory is when in doubt throw it out! Psilocybe Psilocybe angustipleurocystidiata Guzmán Psilocybe aucklandii Guzmán, C.C. King & Band.-Muñoz Psilocybe coprophila Psilocybe cubensis (Earle) Singer Psilocybe cyanescens Wakef. Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa Guzmán & Stamets Psilocybe inquilina (Fr.) Bres. Psilocybe semilanceata Psilocybe subaeruginosa Cleland Psilocybe villarrealiae Guzmán Psilocybe zapotecorum Yarmouth Nova Scotia.
