glutammate04 ::: Favorites How and where (short-,long-term, working, (non)declarative.. etc) memories are stored in the brain are largely unknown. Hippocampal lesions result into problems of acquiring new memories.. Check the book by Kandell & Schwartz. I guess it makes no substantial difference where they apply the ECT electrodes on the scalp. ilovemyspouse ::: Favorites When I had ECT I forgot where anything in the house was, my children, my friends. The hospital closest to me with a psych ward has very high ECT usage, so docs around here won't look at possible problems with ECT. I also lost 12 IQ points, which really vexes me. broncoboy34668 ::: Favorites WOW- I'm not sure what you had done but don't think it was ECT. no diapers here or mouth guard unless they put in when asleep. and brushing teeth no problem and being in a daze for days.
