razdan1974 ::: Favorites The Maldives were originally settled by the Dravidians, who originally came from Southern India, but when Buddhism arrived at the islands from Northern India, the old Dravidian language slowly disappeared and an Indo-Aryan language finally became the main language. That language is called Maldivian or Dhivehi.
