Alberta is the only province or state in North America to be debt free and as a result, we have no PST. Highly skilled, and educated workers flock to Silicon Valley North to work in Ottawa's high tech sector. Slack jawed yokels and hicks flock to Edmonton to play in oil sands. Ottawa is a city of culture. Not that an abrasive westerner would know anything about that. A vibrant city. A city of art, theatre, museums and history.
