Description:
Social Anxiety (or Social Phobia) is just one type of Anxiety Disorder but it was my third different anxiety disorder (3 anxiety disorders in a period of 30 years !).
I had my first anxiety disorder (separation anxiety disorder at 12 years old and it lasted five years until I had 17 years old !). Then 15 years late I began to have the beginning of social anxiety and the beginning of a physical illness called cervical dystonia (involuntary movement disorder at the neck, also called torticoliss spasmodica) and five years late I had a severe adjustment disorder with anxiety (I was devastated ) and finally at 40 years old and during 3 years I had, not just social anxiety but SEVERE GENERALIZED SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER (or SEVERE GENERALIZED SOCIAL PHOBIA) and severe cervical dystonia : I was completely destroyed. My solitude and social isolation was almost total. That point of SEVERE personal physical and mental illness was the starting point of recovery 3 years ago. I could not go worst, I was destroyed physically and mentally, my life was a misery and my social isolation was total.
Why if I had tried different solutions I get worse and worse ???
I hope to be able to share in this video the reasons ...

Yea isolation is one of the worst solution to "shyness" because it can be the beginning of social phobia.
I Hope you will began to recover from "shyness" as soon as possible.

I agree 100% on your idea.
Changing is all about what personal recovery is.
Changing the way we think about ourselves, about others and changing the way we feel and behave is the key to the recovery from SAD.

I wonder if the anxiety is a way that our body is telling us we need to change something. Maybe all three of your disorders were ways that your body was telling you of the changes you needed to make. Like how a plant needs all sorts of conditions to be met just in order to live and be healthy.
